Reviews

We had an excellent stay at the Fish House! This was our first trip hiking in the Smokeys so it was lovely to have a true home to come back to every night., especially after hiking to Mystic Point. This was a very accommodating stay as well for sleeping and the fishing gave our disabled guest plenty of entertainment. The only request for future stays would be more paper towels and dish detergent. Overall, this is an incredible place and we look forward to returning.

We had a wonderful experience at the Fish House. We enjoyed not having any WiFi because we saw it as an opportunity to relax without any screen time. It was an amazing place to see nature. It was a comfortable place to stay in with many good things about it. We often sat in the chairs on the porch and watched lighting bugs and listened to the creek.. We had a great time and are sad to leave.

We were here to celebrate my aunt & uncles 50th anniversary. Had a wonderful time sitting on the porch enjoying the sound of the creek. Had good conversation without our phones. My daughter enjoyed taking nature photographs.

This was our first stay at the "Fish House". We enjoyed every minute here. So easy to get to everything. Great to just relax and enjoy nature. We would love to stay here again.

This was our first stay at the Fish House and it was a great vacay! The Fish House is such a cozy and serene place - my kids loved playing in the stream and fishing for trout. The place is roomy enough for two families and we enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen and being able to laugh and talk! One of the best things about the Fish House was sitting on the porch at night , listening to the stream, watching the lightning bugs, laughing and talking while sipping a cocktail. Although we were all a bit frazzled about no Wi-Fi we soon started enjoying being disconnected from the everyday stressors. This place was very relaxing and fun, the fact that it was close to everything was great. I would love to know more of the history of this area! We would love to stay here again! The only thing I would change is the sheets on the day bed in the bedroom next to the living room - they were too small so we decided to take them off. Other than that - it was perfect! Thanks for sharing a slice of peace and tranquility with us!

Thank you for some peace and quiet! My family was stressed about no wi-fi, it didn't take long for them to entertain themselves with the sights and sounds of God's creation all around the cabin. Our 16yr old son caught his first trout on a fly-our 13yr old daughter ice skated for the first time at Ober!.(Not sure how we've missed that all these years) Again- thank you for sharing your cozy cabin with us- felt like home!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and the fishing was great. Everyone was helpful and courteous. We had a great time and will try to come back soon. Thank you!

I can not say enough about the Fish House. It has 3 bedrooms and it is only my husband and I that stay here so we obviously don't need this large of a cabin but once you stay at the Fish House you will never stay anywhere else. It does not have interned but what it does have is beautiful scenery, an amazing creek view, very clean and roomy. It is the perfect place to go and de-stress. It is peaceful & romantic. We have stayed here 3 times and anytime that we have a chance to get away from the city we check to see if the Fish House is available. We love to sit on the porch and listen to the creek, or take a walk. If I won the lottery I would definitely buy this cabin. It is our dream home getaway!

We had a great time. Perfect location. My 12 yr. old son caught his first fish! We saw deer, turkeys and an ambitious beaver. The place is charming. We had a little trouble with the fridge, but it was addressed right away. Customer service was outstanding. Some favorites from our stay: *Fishing in the stream! *Campfires in the fire-pit! *Hazard County Hodown Show! *Dollywood! *Old Mill breakfast! *Hiking in the Smoky Mountain National Park! The kids loved the cabin, they are 12 yr old twins. When we come back to the area again we will definitely stay at the Fish House

We've stayed at a lot of cabins but this one by far is our favorite. We loved the seclusion-perfect for listening to the creek. We loved rocking on the screened porch and hearing the rain on the roof was a very nostalgic memory. My grandsons ages 3, 3 and 7 absolutely loved it. Great accommodations, Loved the large kitchen and happy to have all the bathrooms. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks for allowing us to stay in this wonderful cabin. (On Friday we had a visit, a bear come to the fire pit across the creek)

Pretty Perfect! That's how we can describe Fish House. Whether it's setting on the screened porch with morning coffee and a novel or standing in the kitchen and cooking with family, life at the Fish House was very relaxing. We saw very few people in the area. We could enjoy the rushing creek or the creature sounds without interruptions. The amenities are wonderful as well. It's pretty wonderful for each bedroom to have it's own bathroom. We played games and music, we laughed and ate, and we slowed down time for just a bit. We also enjoyed nearby hikes including Baskin Creek Falls(a hidden gem!). Thank you for our pleasant stay. We will absoutely be recommending your accommodations and we look forward to our return!

Our family had a wonderful time at the Fish House. Our 6 yr old twin boys loved playing in the creek. Our 4 yr old daughter collected leaves and rocks. We enjoyed the peacefulness of no cell phones or internet. Our nightly routine included sitting on the porch watching the lightning bugs. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for helping our family make a lifetime of memories!

We stayed here in March and fell in love with this place, so for our 25th anniversary we had to come back. We love everything about it. Very clean, love the seclusion and listening to the creek is the best cure for stress! We will definitely be back soon.

Surprised my husband for his 50th birthday with our dear friends. Great cabin, enjoyed being able to stay together in one spot with all three couples. Everyone loved the screen porch and rockers. Made lots of memories.

We had a wonderful time! The cabin was fantastic. We loved the setup. This was a great way to get our family together and do nothing but spend time with each other. Thanks for sharing your mountain home. We had a blast.

By far the best cabin trip ever. Everyone got along and had a great time. This place has a wonderful mountain feel just like living inside the national park but with all the modern amenities. Loved setting on the screen porch in the rockers late in the evening listening to the crickets and the babbling stream. What a wonderful place to come to to forget about you everyday worries, I never want to leave. See you again soon.
