We hope that the information covered below will help you to coordinate your arrival, departure, and specific details of your vacation, so that you can experience an enjoyable visit to Gatlinburg and our beautiful Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Check In is any time after 4:00 pm. If you arrive early, you may have to wait to check in if your property is not ready. Directions to your unit and instructions for using the electronic lock will be emailed to you after the balance has been paid. It is the booking guest’s responsibility to coordinate all parties arriving separately and see to it that they have the necessary information to find the property. You will need to call us between 3:30 and 6:00 pm on the arrival date for the lock code. This code allows access 24/7 to your cabin and will not change during your stay, so late arrival is not a problem. We will not be held responsible nor will we offer refunds for those not contacting us prior to 6:00 pm on the day of arrival for your code.

We know that you will not be ready to leave the Smoky Mountains, but we must insist on a prompt Check Out by 11:00 am, no exceptions! There are no refunds for early departures. Please make sure that all dishes and cookware have been washed and put away. Garbage must be sealed in bags and left in the outside containers. Lights, televisions, and other appliances should be off. Windows and doors should be locked. Fireplaces should not be left burning. Any wet towels should be placed into the tub or shower. Upon your departure, the property will be checked for damages or need for excessive cleaning. A minimum fee of $100.00 may be charged for late departure or if excessive cleaning is required.

The closest airport is located in Knoxville, Tennessee. It is approximately a 45 minute to 1 hour drive. The airport code is TYS. If traveling by air, please make sure to arrange car rental at the airport. Car rental options are limited once you get to our area.

We only allow pets in our 1 and 2 bedroom cabins. Please be specific with your request when booking. No more than two (2) pets (dogs only, NO cats, birds, etc) under 50 lbs are allowed in approved pet friendly units and only with the prior written consent of SMCR. A non-refundable pet fee of $50 plus tax for each pet will be charged, and guests are responsible financially for any and all damages. If you leave the house without your pet, it must be kept in a kennel or crate, and it is not allowed on any furniture or bedding. Sorry, no pets allowed in units that do not accept pets. We can recommend local kennels if you desire. If it is found that you have an unapproved pet in your unit, you can be evicted without refund and/or charged a $100 penalty plus the cost of any damages.

We will email specific written directions to your cabin after your balance has been paid and the signed Reservation Agreement has been received. Please follow our written directions specifically. We have found that GPS and online mapping services are highly unreliable for this area, and most do not take you on the most direct route. If your GPS or other online maps don’t match our written directions, please do yourself a favor and follow our directions. You will save yourself a lot of time and frustration!

Items that are NOT SUPPLIED include charcoal, kindling or fire starter, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, extra blankets, cribs, plastic wrap, foil, coffee filters, condiments, spices, or any type of food item. All units are “housekeeping units.” Daily maid service is not provided. The following is a list of basic items you will find in all of our rental homes: Heat & A/C, refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, basic pots & pans, dishes, flatware, utensils, TV(s), DVD(s), fire extinguishers & smoke detectors, bed linens, pillows, towels, washcloths, and bath mats along with a starter supply of bar soap, dish soap, trash liners, and paper goods. Each property is equipped with a washer and dryer, and guests are expected to launder towels, etc as needed during their stay. You will need to provide your own laundry detergent and supplies. It is not necessary for you to wash linens or towels prior to departure.
